1. Project Overview: Qinghai Tongde Pumped Storage Power Station is located in Hebei Township, Tongde County, Hainan Prefecture, Qinghai Province. The project area is about 11km from the river channel of the Maerba Hydropower Station and about 330km from Xining City. It is connected to the existing rural roads through the G227 National Highway Hebei Township fork. It can reach the near of Shangshui Reservoir Dam. It can reach the G227 National Highway Geshgecha and Hebei Township fork. It can reach the near of Xiashui Reservoir. The traffic conditions are good. The project is a daily-regulated hybrid pumped storage power station. The total installed capacity of the power station is 2400MW and 8 300MW vertical shaft single-stage reversible hybrid-flow hydropower generator sets are installed. After the power station is completed, it will undertake tasks such as energy storage, peak shaving and valley filling, and emergency accident backup.
