1. Project Overview: The Guangdong Water Resources Allocation Project around Beibu Gulf takes water from the Yunfu section of the main stream of the Xijiang River in the Pearl River Basin, and transports water to Yunfu , Maoming , Yangjiang , Zhanjiang and other places through the water supply pipeline . The total length of the water supply line is about 477 kilometers, like a giant dragon, connecting the four cities in western Guangdong . The water receiving area exceeds 40,000 square kilometers, benefiting more than 24 million people in the four cities. The project design flow is 92.5 cubic meters per second, and the annual water supply is 1.632 billion cubic meters. The project consists of 1 trunk line and 3 sub-trunk lines.

The project consists of the main water transmission line, the Zhanjiang branch line, the Maoming Yangjiang branch line and the Yunfu branch line, with a total planned investment of more than 50 billion yuan. The Hejiang Branch Cave in Hejiang Town, Huazhou City is the first experimental section project of the main line of the Guangdong Water Resources Allocation Project around the Beibu Gulf, and will be started construction soon. Xu Zhihui and Yuan Gujie went deep into the branch cave of Hejiang Town, Huazhou City to inspect the preparations for the start of the water resource allocation project test section around Beibu Gulf, and listened to the introduction of the project planning and construction in combination with the overall layout diagram of the project. Xu Zhihui emphasized that the experimental section project of the Guangdong Water Resources Allocation Project around the Beibu Gulf is of great significance. We must pay close attention to the preparations for the start of the test section, do a good job in environmental improvement around the project, fully support the solution of difficulties and problems encountered in the start of the project, and work together to promote the construction of the water resource allocation project.
